This instruction provides guidance, procedures, and responsibilities for aircraft and Depot Maintenance training programs as well as the civilian training program to ensure maintenance personnel are qualified to perform assigned tasks.
This AFI has been significantly changed and must be completely reviewed. Major changes include: Requirements for the Training Analysis Briefing (TAB), requirements for the Status of Training briefing, updates to Cross-Utilization Training (CUT), maintenance training section scheduling process, duty titles and structure, Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) and AF approved electronic training records (formerly referred to as Training Business Area). (AFMC) This supplement has been significantly changed and must be reviewed in its entirety. Requirements have been updated or changed to provide clarity based on changes within AFI 36 - 2650 and process improvement initiatives. (OOALC) Major changes include the addition of Civilian Training Plan (CTP) developer duties and responsibilities to the parent instruction/ AFMC supplement, requirement for group-written procedures/checklist for employee out-processing and OO-ALC group commanders/directors (CC/CL) will determine attendance at Status of Training (SOT) briefing
