This instruction has been revised and must be reviewed in its entirety. Major changes include the document being tiered to adhere to AFI 33-360. Requirements are tiered signifying the appropriate waiver authority to the requirement and is indicated in pare ntheses [T-0, T-1, T-2, or T-3] following the sentence/paragraph that drives the requirement, IAW AFI 33-360. (MOUNTAINHOMEAFB) This document is substantially revised and must be completely reviewed. These revisions include: Paragraph 2.15.1 was changed to read “366 FW/CC (Commander) will designate, in writing, a qualified Bioenvironmental Engineer (43E3A), or a Bioenvironmental Engineering Craftsman (4B071/91) to be the Installation Radiation Safety Officer (IRSO), as appropriate.” Paragraph 2.20.11.1 and the preference to brief “during the second quarter meeting” was changed to read “during the first bi-annual meeting.” Paragraph 2.23.7.1. was changed to read “Notify IRSO of potential vi olations of this instruction, of unsafe work practices involving radiation sources, or of accidents or incidents involving radiation.” Added paragraph 2.23.9 Paragraph 3.4.3.1 was changed to read “Levels established by MHAFB IRSO are: investigative level: any exposure in any reporting period (monthly, quarterly, and/or annually) above the 95 percent confidence level (normal distribution assumed) of the average exposure rate over the last 5 years. For new processes or when processes change the investigative exposure level will be set to 20 mRem for the reporting period (e.g. quarterly or monthly). The investigative level will be specific for each shop/similar exposure group on MHAFB. The IR SO will also investigate any level of exposure that may have exceeded ALARA.”
