This publication provides guidance to manage and maintain Air Force (AF) fleet vehicles in peacetime and expeditionary environments. It outlines Vehicle Management (VM) roles and responsibilities at all Air Force levels and provides program oversight on the various support programs.
This document has been revised and should be completely reviewed. Changes include: incorporating all changes from DAFI 24-302_DAFGM2023-01; reconstruction of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, adding "Overview, Objectives & Principles" and general responsibilities for all levels of the Vehicle Management enterprise (including AFR and ANG activities); terminology and data support systems updates (Basing & Logistics Analytics Data Environment [ BLADE] and Salesforce); Scheduled Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance interval guidance; Vehicle Validation challenge guidance; enhanced Nuclear Certified Vehicle information/guidance and Missile Support Asset maintenance responsibilities; mandatory DPAS training requirement; consolidation of Fleet Management and Analysis (FM&A) duties and responsibilities into Chapter 4 and Material Control duties into Chapter 5; reorganization of Chapters 4, 5, 7, and 10 for clarity; removal of EO 14057 fleet electrification language, and references to CDCs (IAW the Deactivation of 2T3X1/A/C, 2T3X7 CDCs Memorandum) and updates to Chapter 14 (Energy Policy Act (EPAct) Section 701 Alternate Fuel Waiver processing and FLEET Fuel Card program updates), Limited Technical Inspection (LTI) (AFTO Form 91) processing procedures, NCE - Vehicle modification and add-on procedures and verbiage changes for the NCE Certified Equipment section; updated instructions for completion of DAF Form 1800, Operator's Inspection Guide and Trouble Report, and DAF Form 4354, Preventative Maintenance Inspections. The rescission of AF Form 4353, Vehicle Validation Visit and AF Form 1831, Indirect Time Card; updated reference publications, office symbols, and the consolidation of external hyperlinks under Attachment 1, Glossary of References and Supporting Documents
Publications state their own changes on page 1 — behind a PDF the official host will not serve to a search engine. This is that section, verbatim. It describes the edition above, not every historical change.

2 publications in 2 other communities depend on this one, which Transportation owns. Each community inspects its own publications; a dependency that crosses communities is owned by nobody, which is why this list normally does not exist anywhere. Built from the publications' own citations, so it reflects what we have read.
If DAFI 24-302 changes, these are the documents that point at it. Extracted from the publications' own text, so it reflects what we have read, not a complete dependency map. Every publishing office validates its own document; nobody validates the seams between them.
Records in this branch carrying the same series and number — interim changes, guidance memoranda, and unit supplements. A copy stamped with one of these is a different document from the base publication.
