This publication establishes processes and procedures for managing Air Force flying resources and provides guidance applicable to the administration of aircrew flight management programs. This interim change revises DAFMAN 11-401 with (1) corrections to cited notes for orientation flights in Table 5.1, (2) an update of requirements for government civilian employees and contract aircrew, (3) and an update to general officer flying positions. (AFDW) This interim change revises DAFMAN 11-401 AFDWSUP by (1) ad ding a new AFDW identified Flight Authorization Duty Code 3rd character in Table A5.1 to identify Flight Engineers who are Combat Mission Ready from the cabin area of the aircraft, (2) adding notes to Table A5.1 to explain the different utilization of the 3rd character code for Combat Mission Ready Flight Engineers.
