This publication is substantially revised and must be completely reviewed. Major changes include clarifying guidance and procedures required for the updated and overhauled Air Force Safety Automated System (AFSAS). This rewrite also ensures compliance with DAFI 91-204 and removes duplication of information already cited in DoDI 6055.07, Mishap Notification, Investigation, Reporting, and Record Keeping. It includes the US Space Force and the responsibilities of its subordinate Field Commands and deltas. Addi tionally, it clarifies requirements for abbreviated reports and directive language for AF Form 978, Supervisor Mishap Report, and provides more clarity for occupational illnesses, such as rhabdomyolysis and exertional collapse associated with Sickle Cell Trait (ECAST)
