Who this publication applies to

This instruction applies to all Navy and Marine Corps aircraft programs of record. All programs will establish and manage approved engine readiness goals, engine module readiness goals, regardless of mission or sustainment strategy, including engines managed under performance based logistics or contractor logistics support st rategies. Propulsion sub-system candidates suitable for the establishment of a propulsi on sub-system readiness goals will be identified on a case-by-case basis, as directed by the Propulsion Readiness Steering Committee (PRSC) and Propulsion Management Board. The decision to develop a specific propulsion sub-system readiness goals will be dependent on naval aviation enterprise risk-based decision making or the opportunity dem onstrated by a business case analysis.
